On 13 April Turkish Airlines opened the route Istanbul - San Francisco. Turkish Airlines is continuing its efforts to connect Istanbul with the world's largest tourist and business centers.
The flights will be operated five times a week, returning, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. San Francisco adds to the other 10 destinations that Turkish Airlines operates in America: Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Boston and Montreal.
To mark this event, the first flight on the new route was made with an aircraft Boeing 777-300ER, called Safranbolu, customized on the outside with a special livery that symbolizes the connection between the two cities - Istanbul and San Francisco.
