TAP Portugal the fleet modernization program began. According to a TAP Portugal release, the Portuguese operator is the first in Europe to adopt the new sharklet terminals for aircraft in operational service. The first Airbus A320-200 (CS – TMW) TAP Portugal with sharklet returned to flight, starting with 15 February 2016.
With the installation of sharklet devices on the wings of aircraft, equipment with improved aerodynamics, increases in-flight efficiency and at the same time reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption by approximately 4%.
