Wizz Air announced that its 28th base, at Larnaca. The airline will allocate two Airbus A320 aircraft at Larnaca Airport starting in July 2020. With the establishment of the new base, Wizz Air announced ten new routes by six countries from Larnaca. Seats on the new routes can already be booked on wizzair.com or via the airline's mobile app, fares from €24,99**.

Wizz Air's history in Cyprus began a decade ago when its first flight landed in December 2010. The airline carried over 800 thousand of passengers to and from Cyprus in 2019.

Wizz Air announced the base in Larnaca

Larnaca will become Wizz Air's 28th base. As part of WIZZ's expansion, the airline will continue to grow its operations in Cyprus to offer customers more and more travel opportunities.

The Larnaca base will create over 100 new direct jobs within the airline and even more jobs in related industries. The two Airbus A320 aircraft will support the operations of ten new routes to Athens, Thessaloniki, Billund, Copenhagen, Dortmund, Memmingen, Karlsruhe / Baden Baden, Suceava (July 13), Turku and Wroclaw, totaling one million seats available from Larnaca in 2020.
