Wizz Air celebrated 14 years since the opening of its base in Timișoara
Wizz Air, the fastest growing and most sustainable airline in Europe, celebrated the 14th anniversary of its base in Timisoara, inaugurated on February 19, 2009. The airline has been operating flights from Timisoara Airport since 2008.

In 2023, Wizz Air will offer over 800.000 seats for passengers traveling to and from Timișoara.
At the same time, the airline increased the number of employees at its base in Timișoara to over 60 cabin crew members and 25 pilots, hosting 2 aircraft and contributing to the development of the local community, economy and stimulating the local labor market in aviation and in the tourism sector.
Wizz Air is constantly looking for energetic candidates for its cabin crew and flight crew positions in Romania, regularly organizing Open Days through the WIZZ network.
The airline operates one of the newest fleets in the world, with an average age of 4,6 years, enabling Wizz Air to achieve its lowest annual carbon intensity in 2022, which amounted to 55,2 grams per passenger- kilometer.
