Wizz Air wants to build a hangar for aircraft maintenance in Craiova, which would mean an investment of 30 million euros. At the beginning of this month, the company sent a letter of intent to the County Council (CJ) of Dolj, with a view to concessioning a large area of land near Craiova Airport. In this context, the elected county officials approved, a draft decision regarding the appropriation of the proposal for the concession of an area of about 10 hectares, he writes stiricraiova.ro.
Wizz Air Hungary Ltd shows in the official letter that it is considering an investment of 30 million euros, which will generate approximately 300 jobs at the local level: engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
The maintenance unit will have 6 seats and will primarily serve its own fleet, and
additional capacity will be sold on the market. In addition to building the hangar, there will also be administrative facilities: offices, storage areas and workshop areas.
