Wizz Air has announced the expansion of its operations in Serbia, adding a new aircraft Airbus A321 at the base of Belgrade, as well as the change of the 2 existing planes with the new Airbus A321 model. From August 2020, Wizz Air will have 3 modern A321 aircraft based in Belgrade, which also means a significant increase in transport capacity. According to calculations, there will be 1.31 seats for sale from the Belgrade base annually.
Returning to the new aircraft, which will be allocated in July, it will be able to support a car expansion of operations at the Belgrade base, with Wizz Air announcing 9 new routes.

From July 2020, Wizz Air will also fly from Belgrade to: Hamburg, Cologne, Friedrichshafen (Germany), Brussels Charleroi (Belgium), Milan Malpensa (Italia) Lisbon (Portugal), Barcelona El Prat (Spain), Oslo Sandefjord Torp (Norway), Turku (Finland). The history of WIZZ in Serbia began in 2010, with the first flight operated from Belgrade. This was one of the first airports in the EEA region for Wizz Air with flights to Dortmund and London.
Since then, Wizz Air has steadily expanded its operations, transporting more than 5 million passengers to and from Serbia to date. From July, Wizz Air will fly on 28 routes - 16 countries, from 2 airports in Serbia: 23 routes from Belgrade and 5 routes from Niš.
