Wizz Air resumed flights from Targu Mures

After approximately 1.5 years break, Transylvania International Airport, Târgu Mureș, was reopened. The runway, the main problem of the airport when the activity was suspended, was rehabilitated with 56.758.085 lei with VAT included. 85% of the amount comes from government funds, and the rest were allocated from the county budget.

The moment was marked by a charter flight operated on the route Târgu Mureș - Antalya, Monday, June 25, 2018. The race to Antalya landed at one hour after the airport unit obtained the authorization from the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (AACR), which confirmed that the new landing / take-off runway at Târgu Mureş Airport has a carrying capacity of 70 of units, fact that allows operation with large aircraft.

But most importantly, Wizz Air will resume flights from Transylvania International Airport, Târgu Mureș. The first flight will be operated on June 29, 2018, on the route Targu Mures - Memmingen / Munich West. Following that, from June 30, 2018, Wizz Air will reopen the Târgu Mureș - Dortmund route. With the reopening of these routes, Transylvania International Airport, Târgu Mureș will restart with success.

According to the booking calendar, Wizz Air would open 2 more routes in September 2018: Târgu Mureș - Budapest (September 20, 2018) and Târgu Mureș - London Luton (September 17, 2018).
