Wizz Air suspends flights between Romania and Austria

Austria expands the list of countries with suspended flights, adding 6 Balkan nations. Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova will also be on this list.

As of Thursday, July 16, 2020, aircraft from Serbia, Bosnia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Egypt are no longer allowed to land in Austria. The announced measure will be valid at least until the end of July. In conclusion, airlines will suspend flights between Romania and Austria.

The MFA confirms the information and specifies that, according to the official information communicated by the Austrian authorities, starting with July 16, 2020, at 00.00, the direct regular flights from several states, including Romania, will be suspended. The new regulations are valid until July 31, 2020.

This means that Wizz Air will suspend flights between Romania and Austria during the period July 16 - July 31, 2020. And here we mention the routes: Bucharest - Vienna; Bucharest - Salzburg; Suceava - Vienna; Constanța - Vienna; Cluj - Vienna.
