Every year, during the summer season, the Romanian coast is blamed and criticized for poor services, high prices, dirty beaches, abandoned resorts and much more. Some mentions are well-founded, others are exaggerated, some are also poorly communicated, and the press can't wait to make a big stallion out of the mosquito and generalize.
But the good things are also highlighted too little. Yes, beautiful and good things also happen on Romanian seaside. Not all restaurants are expensive, not all hotels are dilapidated, not all resorts are abandoned, not all beaches are dirty, not all seaside businessmen are jepcars, etc. Let's get rid of generalizations and collective labels.
These are the proof six blue flag beaches for the 2022 season, but also numerous hotels and resorts that have been renovated / opened in recent years. There are also hotels that have improved their services and received an extra star. But, unfortunately, the press doesn't see these things, so I want to bring to your attention some renovated or recently opened hotels and resorts.
Hotel DANA HOLIDAY CLUB (formerly Ammon)
Hotel DANA HOLIDAY CLUB (formerly Ammon) in Venus is recently renovated and reclassified from 3* to 4*. HOTEL Dana Holiday Club is located in the center of Venus resort, 100 m from the beach. It covers an area of 11500 square meters and has 150 rooms, 144 double rooms, 4 family rooms and 2 apartments, divided into two pavilions. The modern design of the complex is completed by a large swimming pool, but also by playgrounds for the little ones, restaurant, bars, conference room and free parking, subject to availability.
Hotel DANA RESORT
Hotel DANA RESORT is a beautiful 4* resort, located in the Venus resort, 500 meters from the beach. Hotel Dana Resort has 3* double rooms, 4* double rooms and apartments, distributed both in the central body and in the villas. The rooms and suites have been modernized and refurbished in 2021 and are equipped with new furniture, air conditioning, minibar, safe and TV. The Dana Hotel restaurant has a terrace with a garden and serves Romanian specialties. The Dana complex also has an outdoor pool with free access and playgrounds for children. Paid parking within the limit of available places -> 15 lei/day
MEDITERRANEAN Complex (Mercury-Minerva)
In the second part of July, the Airlinestravel.ro team went to the Romanian coast to see and document the situation of the Romanian coast. I stayed at Complex MEDITERANEAN (formerly Mercur-Minerva), a resort with All Inclusive services, classified as 3*. It is located in the center of the Mamaia resort, between the Modern hotel and the former Rex hotel, about 50 m from the beach, being an optimal option for families with children. The complex has a private beach with free sunbeds subject to availability. The complex has renovated 3* double and family rooms, but also 4* studios and apartments. We liked it because this resort is surrounded by greenery and less concrete, there are playgrounds for the little ones, a pool for adults and children, a terrace, a tennis court, there is no shortage of places to relax in nature and hammocks.
Becali Hotel
BECALI HOTEL (former INTER hotel) is located in the center of Venus resort, on the seafront, with direct access to the beach. Built on 5 floors, it offers tourists 69 double rooms, 10 family rooms and 12 apartments. Almost all hotel rooms have sea view. The hotel is classified at 5*, but also has standard double rooms at 4*. It has a swimming pool, a private beach, a spa center SPA&beauty, restaurants, relaxation areas, lobby bar, beach bar and many other facilities.
Hotel TURQUOISE
Hotel TURQUOISE was inaugurated in 2015, after being completely renovated. It is located on the beach, in the center of the resort named after the goddess of beauty, Venus resort. It has 100 double rooms and 8 apartments, 2 junior suites and 6 family rooms. It has a restaurant, outdoor terrace with sea view, conference room, outdoor swimming pool (with free sunbeds and umbrellas), children's playground on the beach, landscaped garden, children's pool, free supervised private parking, beach own and internet.
GRAND HOTEL CARAIMAN
Caraiman Grand Hotel is located in the center of the Neptun resort, approximately 700 m from the main beach "La Steaguri". It re-entered the tourist circuit in Romania in the form of a new concept. The hotel is completely renovated in 2021. It is suitable for couples who want a romantic atmosphere, for families with children, but also for groups of friends who want to relax and have fun. The hotel has restaurants, bars, swimming pools and terraces.
TERRA Hotel
HOTEL TERRA, classified at 4*, is located in the center of the Neptun resort, about 200 m from the Neptun Train Station and 800 m from the "La Steaguri" beach, being the ideal place for a quiet vacation, far from the urban bustle. With a completely new appearance, a refined, modern design, adapted to the needs and tastes of an increasingly dynamic generation, the TERRA Neptun Hotel was completely renovated in 2021. Structured on 6 levels, it has 7 luxury apartments and 300 double rooms. The hotel has its own parking, heated outdoor swimming pool for adults and children, children's playgrounds and relaxation areas, terraces, bar and restaurant. Nearby is Paradis Land, the largest adventure park in the Romanian coastal area, being the perfect place for spending free time, surrounded by nature.
Hotel BACOLUX KORALIO
The hotel is completely renovated and introduced into the tourist circuit starting from the summer season 2022. It is positioned in the center of the Eforie Nord resort, 600 meters from Belona beach. It has 212 rooms with 4* facilities. The complex has a lobby bar, restaurant with a capacity of 400 people, conference rooms, heated swimming pools, playgrounds for children. You can opt for All Inclusive or half board.
