Starting from December, HiSky will start operating flights on the Bucharest - Bordeaux route. This is the only non-stop air connection between Bucharest and Bordeaux, the wine capital, and the first flight to France that HiSky introduces, departing from the Romanian capital.
The inaugural flight will be operated on December 21, but tickets have already been included in the company's reservation system, with fares starting at 69 euros per segment. The flights will be operated twice a week, every Monday and Thursday, departing from Bucharest and returning on the same day.
The new route is part of the company's announced schedule for the winter season and, given the launch around the holidays, flights will also be operated on December 25 and January 1.
The city in the south-west of France thus becomes the seventh international destination regularly operated by HiSky from its operational base in Bucharest.

According to the data reported by the company that manages the largest airport in the Capital, HiSky was, in the first half of this year, in fourth place in the list of air operators, according to the number of passengers transported. Henri Coandă Airport is also the largest of the company's three operational bases. Of the total of 537 thousand passengers reported by HiSky in the first six months of 2023, 252 thousand traveled to or from Bucharest.
