Delta will operate flights to Amsterdam with Airbus A350 XWB

From 31 to March 2018, Delta will operate flights to Amsterdam with Airbus A350 XWB. The capital of the Netherlands will be the first transatlantic destination for the A350 Delta aircraft. Delta Air Lines will also fly with Airbus A350 on the Detroit-Shanghai route, 19 April 2018.

With flights to Amsterdam, Delta will operate flights with Airbus A350 XWB to 5 international routes from Detroit. Delta is the North American launch carrier for the A350 model.

The first A350 XWB is scheduled to enter commercial service this month between Detroit and Tokyo-Narita on October 30. The flights to Seoul (18 November), Beijing (17 January) and Shanghai (19 April) follow.

aircraft Airbus A350 XWB Delta Air Lines can carry up to 306 passengers in a configuration with 3 classes: 32 seats in the Delta One cabin, 48 seats in the Delta Premium Select and 226 seats in the main cabin.

The first A350 XWB Delta was delivered on 13 July 2017. The aircraft will enter commercial service starting with 30 October 2017, with the first flight operated on the Detroit - Tokyo Narita route.

Delta officials hope that the new Airbus A350-900 aircraft will improve operating / seat costs by up to 20% compared to the current Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
