From May 22, 2016, Wizz Air started flying on the routes Bucharest - Lisbon and Bucharest - Birmingham. Both routes are honored with 2 flights a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Tickets start at 129 lei / segment and can be booked on wizzair.com. With these new destinations, Wizz Air offers a total of 43 routes to 17 countries in Bucharest.
According to Tamara Mshvenieradze, Corporate Communications Manager Wizz Air, both debut flights were a real success. 225 passengers were aboard the aircraft Airbus A321 Wizz Air, on the first flight (Sunday - May 22) on the route Bucharest - Lisbon. And the flight to Birmingham is becoming popular, with 173 passengers choosing to fly to this destination from the very first day of operation of the flight.
