As of 9 December, Poland has adopted a new government regulation banning flights from countries considered to be at high epidemiological risk. It will be valid until 31 December 2020.
Civil aircraft will not be able to land in Poland if they are flying from an airport located in the territory of a country mentioned below.
- Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- Montenegro;
- Georgia;
- Jordan;
- Armenia;
- Kosovo;
- Northern Macedonia;
- Serbian;
- United States, except for airports located in Illinois and New York.
The Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Schengen area are excluded from this prohibition.
According to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers, the ban on international passenger flights will not apply to aircraft operating international flights ordered by the Prime Minister; with the consent of the President of the Civil Aviation Authority.
The ban does not apply to aircraft operating international flights from the above-mentioned countries and have notified the Polish authorities that there are only passengers on board who have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.
The ban does not apply to flights chartered before 9 December 2020. Before flying, you must check the restrictions and conditions of crossing the border of the country of destination and the countries through which you are traveling in transit.
