The first Animawings aircraft landed in Bucharest and is ready for the opening of the tourist season

The first Airbus A320-200 aircraft of the Animawings company landed in Bucharest. It is ready for the inauguration of the charter flights from the summer 2020 season, to the favorite tourist destinations of Romanians. 

Memento Group, owner of the latest airline, animewings, but with major investments in other brands in tourism and services, such as Christian Tour, TUI Travel Center, MementoBUS or Hello Romania, completes the range of services offered by operating a fleet of aircraft that will serve, in the first phase, the charter market from Romania.

The plane, which arrived in Romania today, is of the type Airbus A320-200, having 174 places in Economy class. The plane arrived from AEGEAN Airlines, a company that became a shareholder in Animawings with a strategic stake of 25%. The aircraft will be registered with the code YR-AGA and will be prepared for the operation of its first charter flights, at any time.

Animawings will start operating charter flights for Romanian tour operators to 19 tourist destinations in Greece, Turkey, Spain, Egypt and Tunisia.

Regarding the plane, we can tell you that it is the former SX-DGI Aegean Airlines. The first flight operated on June 6, 2007. Today, June 6, 2020, it turns 13 years old. He also flew for Olympic Air.
