Timișoara airport removes restrictions on liquids in hand luggage!
Excellent news for passengers of Timișoara Traian Vuia International Airport. On the eve of Santa Claus, the restrictions regarding liquids in hand luggage. Electronics will no longer be checked.
Timișoara Traian Vuia International Airport joins the airports where security control becomes much faster and simpler, as the restriction on the amount of liquids, aerosols and gels exceeding 100 milliliters has been removed. Passengers will be relieved of the stress of placing containers in plastic bags for scanning separately from hand luggage. The same will be true for electronics, laptops and their accessories will go through the scanners without having to remove them from the luggage.
The implementation of this modern security control system was possible following the purchase of the latest specialized equipment by accessing a non-refundable financing obtained through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020.
The operationalization of the scanning system was achieved through the cooperation of the Timișoara International Airport with the Anti-Terrorist Brigade of the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority.
Beyond eliminating the stress of packing containers and taking them out for separate scanning, the most important gain is the reduction in passenger processing time at security screening.
This information is certainly good news for most passengers traveling from Timisoara to other destinations. However, it is good for them to bear in mind the fact that these rules valid today on AIT TV do not apply in any airport they are about to arrive at. An effective measure to save them from complications is to check the security conditions in the airports they fly to, with the support of the airlines through which they purchase their travel tickets.
