Earlier this year, I was writing on AirlinesTravel about Wizz Air's intentions to open 20 base in Kosice, Slovakia. The inauguration was originally scheduled for September 14. Also for the same period, two new Kosice routes were announced - Milano Bergamo and Kosice - Doncaster Sheffield.
But Wizz Air hurried and inaugurated the base on June 5, 2015. The 2 new routes announced were also inaugurated, but on June 5 (Milan Bergamo) and June 7 (Doncaster Sheffield). Both routes have no competition and will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft. Also from Kosice, Wizz Air operates 10 weekly flights to London Luton. Let's hope for the flights on the route Kosice - Bucharest?
