The Boeing 737-800 UIA (UR-PSR) is a young aircraft, only 3.6 years old. It was delivered in July 2016. It was configured in a single class with 186 seats. He flew only for Ukraine International Airlines.

According to the news agency, FARS, a Boeing 737-800 Ukraine International Airlines crashed in Iran shortly after takeoff. There were 170 passengers and 7 crew members on board.

According to local media, the aircraft was supposed to operate flight PS752 from Imam Khomeini Tehran Airport to Kiev. However, shortly after takeoff, the plane caught fire and crashed at an altitude of 2500 meters.

It is not yet clear whether this accident is related to the US-IRAN conflict. The local press reported that the accident had occurred due to technical malfunctions.

Several rescue crews were sent to the area. The number of victims is still unknown. Iranian emergency chief Pirhossein Koulivand told state television that some of them are likely to be rescued. But unlikely!
