Air Montenegro, a new airline in Montenegro, will start flying on June 10. For a start, the Air Montenegro fleet will consist of two or three Embraer E195 aircraft, previously operated by Montenegro Airlines and which are leased from GECAS.
According to SeeNews, Air Montenegro will start flying from Podgorica (one daily flight) and Tivat (two daily flights) to Belgrade. From June 27, Air Montenegro will fly twice a week to Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and from June 29 it will operate three weekly flights from Tivat to Ljubljana.
Air Montenegro was quickly founded in January 2021, a few weeks later bankruptcy of Montenegro Airlines of December 26, 2020. The problem is that Air Montenegro is in the authorization phase. It is not yet clear whether he will inherit the IATA code of the former Montenegrin national carrier.
