Air New Zealand, the national company of New Zealand, is preparing to resume international flights. From 1 February 2022, the company will require that all passengers be vaccinated if they intend to travel on international flights.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is the new reality of international travel. Many of the destinations that Air New Zealand wants to visit them are already closed to unvaccinated visitors. The sooner we get vaccinated, the faster we can fly to places like New York, Vancouver and Tokyo Narita.

These requirements will go hand in hand with the measures the airline already has in place to keep New Zealand safe.

"Not only customers will need to be vaccinated, but everyone on board an Air New Zealand plane flying internationally. In addition to this requirement, the health and safety measures we already have in place will be maintained., says Greg Foran, CEO of Air New Zealand.

The airline continues to work closely with government and airport authorities on a plan to reconnect New Zealand with the world.

The Air New Zealand vaccination requirement will apply to all passengers over the age of 18 who choose to fly an Air New Zealand aircraft. Clients who are not vaccinated will need to provide proof that vaccination has not been a viable option for them for medical reasons.
