Airlines have canceled dozens of flights and called for additional government support after The UK has announced plans to enter a second lockdown. The measures come for a period of one month, following the increase in COVID-19 cases.
The new restrictions, which take effect on November 5, will ban non-essential international travel for UK residents. Residents will be able to travel only for studies, in the interest of work, to solve legal problems or in exceptional cases.
The restrictions were initially set for a month, but ministers have suggested they could be extended if the virus does not stop spreading. They apply to both international and domestic flights.
Domestic flights from November 5 to December 2 will be canceled
