Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia Associated Aviation crashed in Lagos (photo / video)
On the morning of October 3 2013, 16 people died from a plane crash. a Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia, registered 5N-BJY (MSN 120174) and operated by Associated Aviation, crashed in Lagos shortly after taking off from Lagos-Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS / DNMM), Nigeria. Around 9: 30, due to engine problems, the aircraft crashed and was engulfed in flames.
There were 20 people, 13 passengers and 7 crew members. As a result of the accident, 16 people died and other 4 were seriously injured. SCD-361 flight operates between Lagos and Akure, Nigeria. The black boxes of the device were found and an investigation has begun to determine the causes of the accident.

The aircraft was 23 years old and the first flight was operated in 1990. On May 14, 2007, the aircraft joined the Associated Aviation fleet. It was powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 engines.
