Germany's most popular recreational airline, Condor, has begun using four Boeing 767-300 aircraft on behalf of DHL Express, the world's largest express service provider. The first cargo flights took place this week.

Condor aircraft will be stored at the largest hub DHL Express from Leipzig and will operate cargo routes on three routes: to Shannon in Ireland, Milan-Malpensa in Italy and Cologne Germany.

Condor has been operating several cargo flights since April 2020. In addition to e-commerce goods, the company has mainly shipped medical equipment and products: millions of face masks, protective suits and gloves. Also, part of the Boeing 767 fleet was transformed into aircraft intended exclusively for cargo transport, and the space in the aircraft was expanded.

The company mainly transported medical equipment and products.

Meanwhile, 14 of the 16 Boeing 767 aircraft were used exclusively for cargo flights. Condor has trained special supervisors to check service standards, ensuring a smooth process.

In addition to cargo flights, Condor remains loyal to the leisure segment: as the most popular holiday carrier in Germany, Condor operates routes to the Canary Islands, Egypt, Cuba, Maldives and the Dominican Republic.

For the express division of Deutsche Post DHL Group, the partnership is part of a program of measures to ensure the rapid delivery of the very large volume of products requested globally.
