FlyDubai operated 1.290 flights between Dubai and Doha during the 2022 FIFA World Cup!

Dubai-based Flydubai has announced that it has transported approximately 130.000 football fans between 21 November and 19 December 2022. The company operated 1.290 flights between Dubai World Central (DWC) and Doha International Airport (DIA) during the Championship Football World Cup 2022, which took place in Qatar.

Passengers from 171 countries have traveled frequently to Doha on these Match Day Shuttle flights to cheer on their favorite teams. The top 10 nationalities in terms of passenger numbers were the United Kingdom, India, United Arab Emirates, France, Argentina, United States of America, Morocco, Jordan, Canada and Brazil, which accounted for up to 60% of the total number of passengers who were traveling on these shuttle flights.

flydubai operated up to 30 daily round-trip flights between DWC and DIA. Every 30 minutes during peak times of the day there is a FlyDubai flight between Doha and Qatar. These flights were operated by seven of FlyDubai's Boeing 737 aircraft, which were temporarily deployed to DWC for the duration of the tournament. 

In celebration of Argentina, Flydubai has unveiled a special football-themed color scheme that has been applied to two of its new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. It should be mentioned that the champion team - Argentina - flew with flydubai from Dubai to Doha,
