Starting with the 1 April 2016, Henri Coandă Airport only has access to taxi cars that comply with all the legal norms and whose drivers have obtained, from the authorized institutions of the state, all the authorizations necessary for the legal activity of the taxi regime at airport.
The new provisions have reduced the number of taxis with access to Henri Coanda International Airport in Bucharest. Fewer taxis, more dissatisfied passengers. And because things are "repaired" on the fly, the authorities have found a temporary solution to increase the number of taxis at Henri Coanda Bucharest International Airport.
Starting Wednesday, 25 May 2016, the time 0.00, to ensure a sufficient number of taximeters at Henri Coandă Airport, opens a new flow of passenger pick-up by taxi cars. This stream is located on the ground floor of the Arrivals terminal.
On the new airport passenger flow, all taxis that receive the minimum fare approved by the authorities in Bucharest and Ilfov (1,39 lei / km) have free access, within the limits of available seats. These taxis can be occupied without a pre-order.
The measure presented is temporary and will be applied until the 2.000 number of taxis authorized at the airport is reached (number about 50% higher than the maximum number of taxi orders, registered in a busy day). After the 2.000 taxis have been authorized, only they will have access to the airport pickup flows. At this time, 1.000 taxi cars are authorized and the authorization procedure is carried out quickly and free of charge.
