Middle East Airlines has ordered 4 Airbus A321XLR aircraft

Today, within Paris Air Show 2019, Middle East Airlines has ordered 4 Airbus A321XLR aircraft. Thus, MEA becomes the launch customer of the new A321XLR model.

The agreement signed by Middle East Airlines and Airbus includes 15 aircraft, of which 11 x A321neo and 4 x A321XLR. Deliveries are scheduled to start in 2020 for A321neo, while A321XLR will be delivered starting with 2023.

4 Airbus A321XLR Middle East Airlines

Middle East Airlines, Lebanon's national carrier, will use A321XLR aircraft on flights to Africa and Asia.

The Airbus A321XLR (Xtra Long Range) was launched today, being a derivative of the A320neo family. Provides flight range up to 8700 kilometers, with 15% more than A321LR. At the same time, it comes with a lower fuel consumption by 30% compared to its direct competitors.
