Initial news 30 September 2020: On Wednesday, Ludovic Orban announced new rules for people coming to Romania from the countries on the yellow list. From the NEW yellow list that will be updated on Monday, according to imperatortravel.ro quoting digi24.ro.

Thus, those who enter the country will be quarantined if they come from states affected by the coronavirus epidemic. However, quarantined people can avoid being isolated for 14 days if they take a COVID test on the 5th day and it is negative.

For those who come to Romania and stay here for a maximum period of 3 days, the obligation of quarantine will not be imposed, but they must present a negative COVID test performed 48 hours before entering the country.

If they want to stay more than 3 days, will have two options. Quarantine 14 days, if they do not want to be quarantined for 14 days, on the fifth day they will have the opportunity to perform the test, and if the test is negative, at the time of receiving the negative test will be able to leave the quarantine.

On Monday, the National Committee for Emergency Situations will reintroduce restrictions for countries that have a higher level of infection than in Romania. So the criteria for classifying countries in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic do not change.
