Romania closes its airspace for Russian airlines

"Romania has begun proceedings to suspend the right to fly over its territory, as well as the right to land in Romania for aircraft belonging to companies in the Russian Federation," said government spokesman Dan Carbunaru.

As of today, February 26, Romania has decided to close the airspace for Russian airlines.

The decision was taken after the previous UK, Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia si Latvia they have banned Russian airlines from flying over or landing on their territory.
