RYANAIR commands and assists in the construction of the second Antonov AN-225 Mriya

3 2.118

In an attempt to meet the unprecedented demand for the 2021 summer season, RYANAIR has decided to finance the construction of the second Antonov AN-225 Mriya, the largest aircraft in the world. RYANAIR wants to configure the new AN-225 in a single class with 1000 seats.

According to O'Leary, the demand is so high that the airline is looking to buy an AN-225. He is aware that the giant cannot land at any airport, but hopes to be able to serve the world's major hubs, and from there passengers will be picked up by other RYANAIR and partner planes and transported to holiday destinations.

While the aviation industry is suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic, RYANAIR is taking advantage of opportunities to expand beyond Europe. Antonov AN-225 does not have much flight autonomy, but will be able to transport as many as 5 737-800 aircraft together.

The current article does not make a clear and chronological presentation of the events and we hope it does not harm the pride of the competitors :). Now that it's not the AN-225 or that RYANAIR won't be flying out of Europe, that's another story.

Clear sky!

I understand that they also want to take 2 ex-LH A388s and put them on CLJ-IAS!
