On May 10, 2021, the National Committee for Emergency Situations adopted Decision no. 26 of May 10, 2021, through which it extends the alert status in Romania by another 30 days. On this occasion, new measures were adopted to be applied in Romania, but also some relaxation measures. Below I will mention some of them.

It is considered necessary to maintain the obligation to wear a protective mask in public spaces, at work, in commercial spaces, as well as in public transport, for all persons who have reached the age of 5, under the conditions established by joint order of the Minister. Health and the Minister of the Interior.

It is proposed to maintain the ban on holding meetings on the occasion of holidays, anniversaries, parties in closed and / or open spaces, public and / or private.

The activities of museum institutions, libraries, bookstores, cinemas, film and audiovisual production studios, performance and / or concert institutions, folk, art and craft schools, as well as outdoor cultural events take place only under the established conditions. by joint order of the Minister of Culture and the Minister of Health.

Under the conditions of point 14, the organization and development of cinemas, performance and / or concert institutions is allowed, with the participation of the public up to 50% of the maximum capacity of the space, if the cumulative incidence at 14 days of cases in the county / locality is lower or equal to 1,5 / 1.000 inhabitants, with public participation up to 30% of the maximum capacity of the space, if the cumulative incidence at 14 days of cases in the county / locality is greater than 1,5 and less than or equal to 3 / 1.000 inhabitants and it is forbidden to exceed the incidence of 3 / 1.000 inhabitants.

By way of exception to the provisions of point 15, the activity of cinemas, performance institutions and / or concerts may be carried out with the participation of the public over 50% of the maximum capacity of the space, only as test / pilot events with CNSU approval based on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture. with the approval of the Ministry of Health, participation is allowed only for persons who are vaccinated, is between 15 and 90 days after confirmation of SARS-CoV-2 infection or has the result of an RT-PCR test not older than 72 hours, under the conditions established by the methodology approved by joint order of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Health.

It is maintained the limitation of the degree of occupation of the accommodation spaces within the tourist reception structures, as defined in art. 2 lit. d) of the Government Ordinance no. 58/1998 regarding the organization and development of the tourism activity in Romania, with the subsequent modifications and completions, at maximum 70% of their maximum capacity, located on the Black Sea coast in Constanța county, in the localities:

  • Ephoria South,
  • Tuzla,

Unfortunately, the way countries are established and classified in relation to the coronavirus pandemic has not changed.
