The Romanian authorities are considering the introduction of FFP2 masks

Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca convened a working meeting with those responsible for managing the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim was to analyze measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The evolution of the pandemic in the country and at the level of the European Union was discussed, highlighting a series of measures considered depending on this situation, which would protect the health of Romanians and allow the continued functioning of schools and economic sectors.

The measures discussed at the meeting concerned:

✅Continuation of vaccination as the safest solution to protect the life and health of Romanians against the serious forms of illness generated by SARS-CoV-2;

✅The correct wearing of the surgical mask or other types of masks that comply with FFP2 standards, a measure that could be generalized throughout the country;

✅In schools, in order to protect the health of children and teachers, the effectiveness of student testing programs and the possibility of including in the package of measures the provision of free masks to students in need, along with the ability to administer tests in schools, were analyzed;

✅In order to continue in good conditions the functioning of the public services, but also of the economic activities, the alternation of the work program, respectively the technical unemployment were presented as solutions;

✅Carrying out communication and information activities, together with measures to combat misinformation, in order to ensure the highest possible level of correct information of the population.

We remind you that more and more countries have decided to impose the wearing of FFP2 masks. Inclusive Italy has decided to introduce the FFP2 mask in public areas and means of transport.
