Before you go on a trip with your pet, you need to know all the conditions of flying with pets.
Pets, accompanied by their owners or the person responsible on behalf of the owner for non-commercial purposes, coming from third countries, must be introduced into the territory of the European Union only through a Travelers Entry Point (PIC) designated for the veterinary control of pets.
Pets on board TAROM planes
In the case of air transport, for access to Romania, the passenger entry points designated by the National Veterinary Sanitary and Food Safety Authority for the veterinary control of pets, for non-commercial purposes, are: Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport and Avram Iancu Cluj-Napoca International Airport .

The applicable European legislation for the transport of pets, for non-commercial purposes, is Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No 576/2013 of 12 June 2013. The regulation can be accessed here.
The pet can travel in the passenger cabin or in the hold.
For travel within the European Union, your pet must be identified with an electronic chip and have a European passport. The passport, issued and completed by an authorized veterinarian, certifies that your animal has been properly vaccinated. To travel with your pet to Israel, you must meet several conditions. It is not allowed to transport pets, both those carried in the passenger cabin (PETC) and those carried in the aircraft hold (AVIH), to the following destinations: Great Britain (London) and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), from due to restrictive local legislation.
