In the first week of operation, i.e. between June 15-21, 2023, 15 landings and 15 takeoffs took place at the Braşov-Ghimbav International Airport.
There were scheduled flights made by the DAN AIR company, charter flights to Antalya and Crete, as well as private flights, starting on Wednesday, June 21, when a business plane landed and took off from Brasov airport.
Between June 19 and July 22, DAN Air has adapted the flight schedule during the operating hours of the Brașov airport. Thus, Madrid - with flights every Saturday, and Malaga - with flights operated every Sunday, were added to the initial routes announced by DAN AIR starting from June 15, namely Nurnberg, Stuttgart, Munich, Barcelona, London and Brussels.
The good news for Romanians settled in Spain and not only for them is that from July 4 DAN AIR will also launch flights to Valencia (VLC), which will be operated every Tuesday.
Therefore, at the moment, with 9 destinations provided by DAN AIR and with three charter flights per week operated by Animawings and HiSky, Braşov-Ghimbav International Airport is among the top 4 airports in the country in terms of number of destinations operated, without taking into account consider Bucharest.
