On June 13, the first Airbus A350-900 JAL was delivered. Japan Airlines (JAL) has received the aircraft from the Airbus base in Toulouse. The delivery event was attended by the JAL representative and president, Yoshiharu Ueki, and the Airbus commercial director, Christian Scherer.

The Airbus A350-900 (JA01XJ) aircraft is part of an 31 order of A350 XWB aircraft. This includes 18 x A350-900 and 13 x A350-1000. As you can see, the first A350 XWB JAL has a custom livery with the inscription "Airbus A350".

The first Airbus A350-900 JAL will enter operational service in early September, on the route Tokyo Haneda - Fukuoka. For starters, the A350-900 aircraft will operate domestic flights to Japan on the busiest routes. The larger model, the A350-1000, will operate long-haul flights.

Airbus A350-900 JAL aircraft are configured in 3 classes: 12 seats in First Class, 94 seats in Business Class and 263 seats in Economy Class.
