First Airbus A350 XWB Hong Kong Airlines delivered (photo)

On September 1 2017, the first Airbus A350 XWB Hong Kong Airlines was delivered. It was rented from AerCap.

Hong Kong Airlines received his first A350-900, which was leased from AerCap. Thus, it becomes the 15 airline with this type of aircraft in the fleet. In total, Hong Kong Airlines will receive 21 aircraft Airbus A350 XWB, of which 15 purchased directly from Airbus and six leased from third parties.

A350 XWB will bring excellent eco efficiency and superior passenger experience within the carrier network Hong Kong Airlines.

Hong Kong Airlines has configured its A350-900 aircraft in a premium appearance with three travel classes, with a total of 334 seats: 33 for Business class, 108 for Economy Comfort and 193 for economy class.

The aircraft is equipped with the airline's newest cabin products, including a completely new entertainment system and full in-flight connectivity. Initially, the aircraft will fly on domestic and regional routes.

From December 2017, the A350-900 Hong Kong Airlines will enter long-haul flights to Los Angeles.

To date, Airbus has received firm orders for 848 from A350 XWB aircraft from 45 from operators around the world.
