The railway between Pajura and Mogoșoaia will be modernized! The succession interval of trains to Otopeni Airport will be reduced!

The auction for modernizing the railway line on the 𝗣𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗮 - 𝗠𝗼𝗴𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗮𝗶𝗮, which involves the design and execution of the signal works, including the execution of the partial double line, was published in the electronic public procurement.

The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of train circulation by partially doubling the railway line between Bucharest North Station and the "Henri Coandă" Otopeni International Airport, by introducing two new track devices and by operationalizing the signaling system.

The main works provided for in the contract are:

relocation works, modification, respectively removal from the track of the old CF installations

the introduction of 6 track circuits on the CF 301K line and the 700 line

installation of 4 signal poles

installation of 2 electromechanisms, installation of heaters on track devices

making the wiring network for the newly introduced equipment in the track (signaling cables, cables for powering signals, block cabinets, adapting the dependencies for the new configuration)

installation of cabinets for signaling equipment

reconfiguration of the facilities in the Mogoșoaia station

The aim is to reduce the running time of trains to the airport from 40 to 30 minutes. Thus, the first metropolitan train line in Romania will gain additional attractiveness, and this investment comes to support this.

The estimated total value of the contract is approximately 6.5 million lei, without VAT, financing from the state budget, and the contract term is 7 months.
