Educational Tour dedicated to religious cultural tourism - #RECULTIVATUR (photo)
During the period 7-9 May 2014, at the invitation of the Northeast Regional Development Agency, I participated in the educational tour dedicated to religious cultural tourism, within the project #RECULTIVATUR. This activity was aimed at providing the possibility of specialized media, tour operators and guests to experience the itinerary of religious cultural tourism, Monasteries and medieval fortresses, a product promoted by ADR North-East in the RECULTIVATUR project. The excursion offered us examples of facilities and services provided by hotels, restaurants, traditional art producers, cultural and religious institutions, tourism associations, information centers that can be used to promote the tourism product.
The first part of the tour took place in Iasi, where I visited: the Church of the "Holy Three Hierarchs"; The Palace of Culture; Union Museum; Golia Monastery.
The second part of the tour was on the route Iasi - Tg. Neamt - The Mouth of Humor and I visited: Sturdza Castle (Miclăuşeni); The popular master Ion Albu - zoomorphic and anthropomorphic masks; Agapia Monastery and the Agapia Monastery Museum (Agapia); Neamţ Fortress (Târgu Neamţ); Humor Monastery and I met folk craftsmen.

The third part of the tour was on the route Gura Humorului - Fălticeni - Iasi and included: the Voronet Monastery (Gura Humorului) and the "Ion Irimescu" Art Museum (Fălticeni).
We have a beautiful country, rich in tourist objectives, with many monasteries in the Moldavian lands, but also with well-preserved medieval fortresses. More work needs to be done to promote them and to protect them.
