On 8 December 2015, Qatar Airways operated a charter flight with A350-900 XWBon route Doha - New York. Airbus A350-900 XWB Qatar Airways has departed from Hamad International Airport, Doha, at 07: 40 and landed at JFK International Airport, New York, at approximately 14: 00. The return flight was scheduled for Wednesday, December 9 2015.
Qatar Airways was the launch customer for A350XWB and is proud of the performance that it has operated with this type of aircraft to destinations on 3 continents: Europe, Asia and America. Currently, the 7 A350-900 Qatar Airways aircraft fly to: Dubai (one flight a day), Munich (twice a day), Frankfurt (twice a day), Riyadh (one flight a day) and Singapore (three times a day). The 8th A350 aircraft will join the Qatar Airways fleet by the end of this year.
Year 2016 comes with new flights for aircraft DO NOT Qatar Airways: daily to Philadelphia (from 1 January 2016); to Kuwait City (from 3 January 2016), towards Boston (from 16 to March 2016), daily to New York (from 1 April 2016) and towards Adelaide, Australia (from 2 to 2016).
Qatar Airways is the first airline to fly with A350 XWB in the United States, but this is not the first time this type of aircraft has arrived on the American continent. During the tests, we remind you that Airbus A350 XWB landed in Florida (Florida Panhandle), the aircraft undergoing tests at -40 degrees. Airbus A350 XWB also flew to Bolivia for high altitude tests.

In connection with the honored destinations in North America, Qatar Airways flies to 8 destinations: Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Houston, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC. From 2016, flights to Los Angeles (January 2016), Boston (March 2016) and Atlanta (June 2016) will begin operating.
