Wizz Air allocates 7 aircraft at the base in Cluj and presents winter schedule 2018-2019
Wizz Air today announces a new expansion and job creation for the base in Cluj. An additional Airbus A320 aircraft will join the local fleet, bringing the total number to seven aircraft, as well as launching new routes to Vienna in Austria and Lyon in France.
The new aircraft will also support the addition of several weekly flights on the domestic route to Bucharest, but also on six other international destinations from Cluj to the UK, Italy, Germany, France and Spain, as part of the WIZZ 2018 winter schedule.

From 2007, Wizz Air continues to invest in its ever-growing network from Cluj International Airport and is looking for more and more low-cost travel opportunities.
Today's announcement means that WIZZ investment in Cluj is close to 707 million dollars (estimated cost of aircraft), and in 2018 over 2,1 millions of places are put up for sale to 36 routes from 18 countries.
The WIZZ network from Cluj will expand and diversify this year with three long-awaited routes to Vienna (May 28), Lyon (November 20) and Athens (March 11th).
The new aircraft, due to arrive in November, will provide weekly frequencies with 21, including the seven popular routes from Cluj to Rome, London Luton, Doncaster, Madrid, Dortmund, Paris and Bucharest.
Extending WIZZ operations in 2018 to a number of seven modern aircraft will create additional jobs and make the number of direct employees reach more than 250. In fact, recruitment sessions are already scheduled for March 5 and April 4 in Cluj.
Along with today's announcement, Wizz Air will also present the 2018 winter schedule for Cluj. In the next two weeks, prices for this season will only be available to WIZZ Discount Club members.
