Wizz Air, the fastest growing airline in Europe and the most environmentally sustainable globally, is pleased to announce the seven-year anniversary of the inauguration of its base in Iasi.

Since Wizz Air first took off from Iasi airport in December 2014 and inaugurated its base in July 2016, the airline has seen a substantial increase in its capacity and operations. To date, it has proudly served nearly 5 million passengers traveling to and from Iași.

At its base in Iasi, the airline currently has four aircraft and anticipates the arrival of the fifth plane, an Airbus A321neo, by the end of this year. This growth supports the airline's commitment to improve its services and ensure a pleasant travel experience for its passengers.

In addition, the larger fleet will allow increased flight frequency on several popular routes: to three flights per week to Liverpool, Berlin and Memmingen, to four flights per week to Venice and Istanbul, to five flights per week to Barcelona, Dortmund and Bologna and daily flights to Paris, Rome and Brussels.

The airline is also increasing the number of flights from seven to nine frequencies per week to Milan, thus offering more travel options to its customers. The airline currently offers flights to a total of 23 destinations in 12 countries.

Over the past seven years, Wizz Air has become a preferred choice for passengers looking for low fares combined with high quality service.
