Wizz Air opens the base in Timisoara and announces new safety measures
Initial news: Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that it is ready to reopen its base in Timisoara from May 1, 2020 and related measures for the health and well-being of passengers during check-in and on-board procedure.
The resumption of operations depends on the decision of the authorities to eliminate or extend the current flight restrictions to and from Romania. If the restrictions are maintained, the reopening of the base will be delayed.

To help passengers and crew travel safely and worry-free, Wizz Air has introduced several additional security measures to support social distancing during boarding and an increased level of cleanliness on board.
As part of measures to protect the health of passengers and crew, travelers should check in and purchase any services online, such as payment for additional luggage, to reduce any interaction that is not essential at the airport.
The cabin crew will wear masks and gloves throughout the flight and will distribute sanitary napkins to each passenger. Shopping on board is permitted and it is recommended that payment be made by contactless means to minimize physical contact.
Wizz Air will continue its strict daily cleaning procedure, the entire aircraft being disinfected overnight according to the recommendations in force.
Starting with May 2020, flights from Timisoara to Brussels Charleroi (Belgium) of 5 May, Paris Beauvais (France) of 12 May, Barcelona El Prat (Spain) from 1 May, Dortmund (from May 4), Frankfurt Hahn (since 7 May) (Germany), Rome Ciampino (Italy) of 5 May, London Luton (UK) from 1 May will be resumed if there are no new restrictionsi.
