Air France AF393 flight from Beijing to Paris returned to Beijing due to a technical problem

The Air France aircraft operating flight AF393 - on September 18, 2021 - and which had taken off from Beijing airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, returned to Beijing, after 14 minutes of flight.

The pilots of the Boeing 777-300ER (F-GSQD) aircraft made this decision due to a technical incident. A malfunction of an aircraft's pneumatic system caused an overpressure in one of the air conditioning ducts, which spread debris and dust into the cabin.

Crews shall be regularly instructed to perform this procedure in accordance with the manufacturer's and the aircraft's instructions. The aircraft landed normally in Beijing at 04:03 (local time). The passengers of the aircraft and members of the Air France crew were accommodated at the airport overnight and returned to Paris with another Boeing 777.
