Airbus 2016: 688 aircraft delivered and orders for 731 aircraft

2016 was a very good year for the European aircraft manufacturer. The number of aircraft delivered exceeded the estimates, reaching 688 units to 82 operators. It is the new record for the company, for the 14 year of growth.

The increase was with 8% compared to the previous record of 635 of aircraft delivered, which was set in 2015.

From those 688 of aircraft delivered, 545 were airplanes of the family A320 (68 x A320neo), 66 x A330, 49 x A350 XWB and 28 x A380. A321 aircraft deliveries accounted for approximately 40% of total single-aisle aircraft deliveries.

At the same time, 2016 brought them to Airbus Net orders for 731 aircraft, of which 607 are from the A320 family, and 124 are widebody aircraft. At the end of 2016, Airbus had outstanding deliveries for 6874 of aircraft, which were valued at 1 018 billion dollars at list price.
