In the winter season, passengers choosing a flight from the capital to Germany will have several travel options. Frankfurt is the newest destination that HiSky introduces to the schedule of regular routes that the company operates, from Henri Coandă International Airport, in Bucharest.

The first flight is scheduled to take place on December 17, and tickets are already available in the company's booking system. According to the published schedule, the trip will be operated with three frequencies per week, departing from Bucharest to Frankfurt and return, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the price of a trip starts from 79 euros per segment.

HiSky will operate flights to 10 destinations from Bucharest

With the launch of the new route, the airline reaches 10 destinations operated from Bucharest, Germany becoming the seventh country where passengers can reach from the capital, with a HiSky flight. By choosing this airport, for the creation of a new air connection, the company aims both to offer an alternative to passengers whose final destination is the metropolis in western Germany, as well as to those who use this important hub for connections to more distant destinations.

With more than 70 million passengers annually, Frankfurt am Main (FRA) is the largest airport in Germany and the fourth busiest in Europe.

"As we passengers are already used to, we start each season with some new destinations. For the month of December, we have already started bookings for Bordeaux, to which Frankfurt is now added, with the launch flight the same week. Frankfurt is an airport we know well, which we have been operating successfully for more than two years, departing from Chisinau. There were several aspects that weighed in the decision to open this destination in Bucharest as well.

Firstly, the rather limited options for a direct flight, secondly, the large community of Romanians living in this area and, last but not least, the fact that Frankfurt is an important European hub, offering connecting flights to all important destinations in the world", said Iulian Scorpan, CEO of Hisky.

Since the inauguration of the Bucharest hub, Henri Coandă Airport has become HiSky's main operational base. According to the ranking regarding the number of passengers transported, the airline ranks fourth among the operators at this airport.

From Bucharest, passengers can travel with HiSky on eight regular international routes, to Tel Aviv, Brussels, Barcelona, Malaga, Dublin, Chisinau, Bordeaux and Frankfurt, and on two domestic routes, to Cluj Napoca and Timișoara. In Romania, the airline also operates regular flights from the airports of Iasi, Baia Mare, Cluj Napoca and Timișoara, as well as charter flights, in partnership with the main travel agencies.
