Russia says that the head of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, would have been on board a plane that crashed in the Tver region, north of Moscow, Tass writes, according to Reuters. Civil Aviation says Prigojin was on the list of passengers who crashed.

"An investigation has been launched into the crash of the Embraer aircraft, which took place this evening in the Tver region. According to the list of passengers, Evgheni Prigojin's name and surname are among them," the agency said.

The crashed aircraft is an Embraer EMB-135BJ Legacy 600, callsign RA-02795. It had taken off from Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow and was destined for Saint Petersburg-Pulkovo Airport. According to some sources, the plane would have been hit by Russia's anti-aircraft defense.
