The price of plane tickets and the increase in air traffic brought a record profit for Ryanair, of 663 million euros in the first quarter of this year, according to company data.

Low-cost airline Ryanair reported on Monday a net profit of 663 million euros in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, an increase of almost four times compared to the net profit of 170 million euros recorded in the same period last year. The increase in revenues is due to the increase in passenger air traffic and the price of plane tickets, informs aduarnu.ro.

RYANAIR stated that the number of transported passengers, in Q1, increased by 11%, up to 50,4 million, so that total revenues increased by 40% up to 3,65 billion euros.

For the entire fiscal year 2024, Ryanair remains cautiously optimistic that it will register a 9% increase in traffic, up to 183,5 million passengers, compared to the 185 million passengers it initially estimated, the reason being the delays in the delivery of the planes ordered from the American manufacturer Boeing.

Ryanair Holdings is the largest airline group in Europe. This group includes the companies Ryanair, Ryanair UK, Buzz, Lauda and Malta Air. Ryanair Holdings portfolio companies connect more than 40 countries with more than 2.500 daily flights from 230 airports.
