RYANAIR base in Amman and 14 new routes from Jordan

Today, 4 February, RYANAIR announced the base from Amman and the launch of 14 new routes from Jordan. Estimates transport of 500 000 of passengers from Amman and Aqaba airports.

RYANAIR Base in Amman

The first flights from Amman will be operating to Paphos (Cyprus) starting in March. From October, another 10 routes will be launched to: Bologna (2 flights per week), Brussels Zaventem (2 flights per week), Bucureşti (2 flights per week), Budapest (2 flights per week), Krakow (2 flights per week), Milan Bergamo (3 flights per week), Paphos (2 flights per week), Prague (2 flights per week), Vilnius (2 weekly flights) and Warsaw Modlin (2 flights per week).

In the winter season 2018-2019, RYANAIR will also operate 4 routes from Aqaba to: Athena (2 flights per week), Cologne (2 flights per week), Rome Ciampino (2 weekly flights) and Sofia (2 flights per week).

It is a direct competition for charter operators, but also for frequent airline carriers. On the Romanian market, RYANAIR will be a direct competitor for TAROM, but also for travel agencies that provide charters and tour packages to Jordan.
