The first Boeing 777-300ER Japan Air Force One was delivered. The Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) has received the new government aircraft, the modified Boeing 777-300ER. The 80-1111 aircraft is the first of two that the Japanese government will receive.

These 777-300ER Japan Air Force One aircraft have been modified and adapted for the transportation of Japanese politicians, diplomats and the royal family. There are fewer windows, and conference rooms and offices are created. Easy to understand, too much technical and sensitive information about the 2 planes was not communicated.

The airline ANA (All Nippon Airways) is responsible for the maintenance of the engines for the 2 government “triple seven” planes. The new 777-300ER Japan Air Force One aircraft were ordered in 2014 and will replace the current Boeing 747-400 government aircraft. The second 777-300ER Japan Air Force One will be delivered in December 2018, and both will enter government service starting April 1, 2019.

We remind you that the 2 Boeing 747-400 Japan Air Force One aircraft were in Bucharest, earlier this year. On 16 January 2018, the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, arrived in Bucharest for an official meeting. It was the first time a Japanese prime minister came to Bucharest and, therefore, for the first time to Henri Coandă International Airport.

And with sadness, we remind you that Romanian politicians have made fun of this ONE meeting.
