At least two people died after a passenger plane (SafariLInk DHC-8-300) collided in Kenya with an air training plane (Cessna 172), local police said.

The planes collided over Nairobi National Park, in Kenya's capital, after which the smaller plane crashed, reports Sky News. The passenger plane made a U-turn and landed safely at the airport it had just left.

The larger plane, operated by Safarilink Aviation and carrying 44 people, was en route to the seaside resort of Diani when the crew reported a loud bang shortly after take-off from Wilson Airport and decided to turn back, forwarded to the airline.
