Air France increases the frequency of daily flights to the Land of Santa Claus

Air France reveals the first destinations of its winter schedule for the period October 2022 - March 2023 and announces the launch of new flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Lapland (Finland and Norway).

Thus, starting from December 10, 2022, Romanian tourists will be able to enjoy the splendor of the landscapes offered by the northern lands above the Arctic Circle, departing from Bucharest - Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) to new destinations introduced by Air France - Kittilä, Tromsø and Rovaniemi as follows:

On December 10, 2022, Air France will launch a new route to Kittilä (Finland) departing from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle International Airport (CDG). With a weekly frequency, the flight will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft, every Thursday, with the following schedule:

AF1322: departure from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle at 10:05 arriving in Kittilä at 14:50
AF1323: departure from Kittilä at 15:35 arriving in Paris Charles de Gaulle at 18:30

Also on the same day, Air France will introduce a new weekly flight on the route Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) – Tromsø International Airport (Norway), operated by an Airbus A319 aircraft. Tromsø will represent the northernmost point as a destination in the Air France portfolio.

Due to its success in 2021, the Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) – Rovaniemi (Finland) route will benefit from an additional flight per day over the Christmas and New Year period. Flights to this destination will resume from November 27, 2022 with the following schedule:

AF1524: departure from Paris Charles de Gaulle at 10:00 and arrival in Rovaniemi at 14:30
AF1525: departure from Rovaniemi at 15:25 arriving in Paris Charles de Gaulle at 18:00

Kittilä, Tromsø and Rovaniemi, the fairytale destinations

Located above the Arctic Circle in Lapland, the Land of Santa Claus, Kittilä, Tromsø and Rovaniemi are some of the favorite destinations for tourists around the world in winter, especially for experiences such as angling, sledding, saunas, but and to admire the light show provided by Aurora borealis. Also, Kittilä is known as the birthplace of the famous Finnish writer Arto Paasilinna.

Apart from Kittilä, Tromsø and Rovaniemi, Air France operates flights in the Nordic countries and to other destinations such as Helsinki (Finland), route launched last summer, Copenhagen and Billund (Denmark), Olso and Bergen (Norway), Stockholm and Gothenburg (Sweden).
