Alitalia plans to honor up to 1600 flights a week in August

New Alitalia, if we can call it that, has big plans. He announced the extension of operations for August. It has returned in force since June, and already in July reached 1000 flights a week.

And the company's plan is to reach 1600 flights a week in August. Alitalia aircraft will fly on 75 routes (24 more than in July) and 52 airports (16 more than in the previous month), of which 20 in Italy and 32 abroad.

Alitalia plans to honor up to 1600 flights a week

Starting with July 24, Alitalia will resume operations to and from Milan Linate Airport. At first, flights will be operated only to and from Sardinia. From Milan Linate Airport, starting July 24, Alitalia will operate flights to Cagliari (16 per day), Olbia (10 per day), Alghero (6 per day).

And from August 1, Alitalia will move some of its operations from Milan Malpensa to Milan Linate Airport. It will comply with the number of aircraft movements per hour imposed by the authorities at Milan-Linate Airport, which will lead to the adjustment of the operational program.

Alitalia will serve a total of 24 destinations in Milan airports (Linate and Malpensa) with approximately 710 weekly flights.

Alitalia resumes several flights from its base in Rome

In addition to the services already operated, Alitalia will resume flights from Rome to: Malaga (6 flights per week); Algiers (6 flights per week); Cairo (6 flights per week); Marseille (10 weekly flights) and Tel Aviv (10 flights per week). It will also operate seasonal summer flights to Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Minorca, Corfu, Kefalonia, Heraklion (Crete), Rodos, Mykonos and Zakynthos. Starting with August 17, Alitalia will inaugurate the route Rome - Tokyo Haneda (6 flights per week).

Starting in August, Alitalia will connect Rom Fiumicino to 51 domestic and international destinations and will operate 1.050 weekly flights.

Also in August, Alitalia will increase the number of routes and flights honored in Spain, France and North Africa and will resume services to and from the Middle East. In addition, Alitalia will launch many seasonal services to the Balearic Islands and the Greek Islands (both in Rome and Milan). For the domestic sector, Alitalia will increase air services between Northern Italy and Southern Italy.

Alitalia aircraft are sanitized daily with special products

In accordance with the laws in force, all Alitalia aircraft are sanitized every day and, thanks to HEPA filters and vertical circulation, the air on board is renewed every three minutes and purified in a proportion of 99,7%.

All passengers are required to complete a self-certification form prior to boarding, which certifies that they have not had close contact with people diagnosed with Covid-19. In addition, passengers must wear a protective mask upon arrival at the airport and during the flight. The protective mask must be replaced with a new one every 4 hours in the case of longer flights.
